Lights on the Farm

The Heritage Farmstead Museum is excited to bring back Lights on the Farm! This family friendly, all-outdoor event features a quarter-mile trail through the historic farm site showcasing over 1.5 million lights and animated displays crafted by First Choice Lights. Guests can enjoy photo ops, hot chocolate, a visit with Santa, s’mores and so much more.

SPECIAL NIGHTS

November 25: Santa Paws – BUY a ticket and dress up your pup to experience Lights on the Farm. Take a photo with Santa, march in the puppy parade and enjoy songs from the musical Disney’s’ 101 Dalmatians in our historic Pole Barn. #CampBowWow Dogs must be on leash. Don’t forget to purchase an additional dog ticket.

November 26: Pajama Night Wear your favorite pjs. Guests who donate a NEW pair of pajamas to Pajama Rama will get a free child’s ticket. Pajama Rama provides charitable distributions of children’s pajamas to qualifying nonprofit organizations, such as hospitals, children’s advocacy centers, and community outreach organizations.

December 2: Troll Stroll – We welcome the Trolls to the historic Pole Barn for a sing-along, a little dancing, and some photo ops. We will have a special gift for the first 100 guests.

December 9: Charlie Brown Christmas –Enjoy scenes of the Christmas classic presented by Moondance theater. Meet Charlie Brown and his friends in person and snap some pictures with them in our beautifully decorated historic Pole barn.

December 14: Red, Whites and Lights –With admission, you’ll receive a souvenir wine glass and be able to savor a glass or two of wine as you stroll the quarter mile trail of lights. Please note that no one under 21 will be admitted.

December 16: Princess and Princes Night– Dress up as a prince or princess and be one of the first 100 to receive a free light up gift. Meet Anna and Elsa in our historic Pole barn. There will be a sing-a-long and lots of opportunities for pictures.

December 23: Meet the Grinch – Join us for a special performance at 6:30pm and 7:30pm, followed by an exciting opportunity to take a photo with the Grinch himself.

December 30: New Year Celebration Get ready to ring in the New Year at the Farm with an unforgettable celebration! Don’t miss out on the festivities as we commemorate the Heritage Farmstead Museum’s 50th anniversary.

At First Choice Lights, the customer always comes first. We take pride in offering the highest quality products and service in the industry.

Do I own the lights?

You can purchase lights from First Choice if you wish to purchase them, but we prefer you rent the lights from us. If you rent the lights, it comes with guaranteed service and free replacement of faulty materials. This service and replacement guarantee extends every year you rent lights from us. Yet another benefit to renting is we allow you to change colors and styles from one year to the next if you desire to do so.

How much do lights cost?

Our full package includes design consultation, all necessary materials including timers, installation, guaranteed service, removal, and annual storage. Residences usually start around $1000 and can exceed several thousand. Businesses usually start around $2500. Keep in mind we are a professional lighting installation company and we are fully insured. You get what you pay for and you should be skeptical when hiring inexperienced individuals or companies to install lights.

How do you attach the lights to my home or business?

For most homes with gutters and shingles, we use a universal plastic clip that attaches to both gutters and shingles. For brick and stone, we use hot glue, for wooden arbors or any other wooden structures we use small staples. For businesses with a metal cap on the roof, we use magnets. There is never anything permanent or intrusive other than anchors for wreaths and that is done only with your permission. All of our lights are custom fit for every home or business, even the extension cords! It is a very clean, professional look.

Will you install lights that I already own?

If you have had lights installed by a professional company, there are a few things we need to check. First, we need to check the quality and condition of the lights. Second, we need to check the labeling and mapping of the house. If the materials are commercial grade, in good condition and the map is legible, then we will move forward with the installation. Since we did not provide the material and we did not custom fit the lights to the property, our service guarantee will not apply. We will have to charge a service fee to repair any non-working lights.

When do I owe payment?

We take a 50% deposit at signing to schedule you a date on our calendar then the remaining 50% is due after installation is complete and you are satisfied. We are in very high demand and have a very short period of time to complete our work. All deposits are non-refundable. We accept cash, checks, and all major credit cards.

When do you take the lights down?

We begin the removal process on January 2nd. In most cases, it’s not necessary for you to even be home, especially if you’ve rented the lights from us.
